Personally, I've taking to tucking a pen in my palm and up my wrist, ready to flick out and stab some poor unfortunate attacker.
It's far more effective than scratching nails, though nowhere near as effective as my cordless drill idea. Why do people deny the genius of this idea?
Posted by David Barrett at November 26, 2004 01:14 AMYour faithful blogging is commendable Neuro. Has K's trip been extended or the impact of his absence has just hit you with new strength? I can't believe you doubted the existence of bats! Mice (and rats) are merely bats that have been banished from Rodent Heaven (very big bats become rats) after turning away from the Rodent Almighty to follow Batman (or Danger Mouse... or some other Rodent Superpower).
Posted by stig at November 26, 2004 10:51 AMDave, I'm into cordless drills. You aren't alone there.
Stig, banished rodents you say..! I like the cut of your jib and lies.
It has simply been a long, grey, groggy week. And now it's Friday morning and it's still another, like, 60 hours or something til his return. Mostly the problem is that he's having a hard time over there (UCCF staff workers have very very different attitudes to IFES Ireland staff workers).
Plus that and I'm a wuss.
Never mind - going to see The Grudge for the second time tonight. MUCH SCREAMING AND JUMPING AHOY!
Posted by neuro at November 26, 2004 11:20 AMQuit your complaining. At least you have water.
Two days after a watern mains is burst by developers, we're still without. I am stinking like the proverbial "mad yoke"; my head is itching, we can't put on the heating and WE CANNOT FLUSH THE LOO CLAIRE IT IS STINKING.
Leave a big dirty crap in the loo for a day and a half, see how you feel then. I'm guessing not well.
If you actually do this, I strongly suggest flushing the loo and spraying copious amounts of air freshener around the house before K gets back.
Posted by David Barrett at November 26, 2004 01:54 PMWow Dave, I'm feeling so clean and fresh and warm right now. And the bathroom just smells so good! And...my thirst is so...quenched or something.
:p
Poor Dave. Is it back yet?
Yeah, it's back now. NO THANKS TO YOU!
